St. Paul, Columbus, has not held a Thrive! congregational campaign as many other congregations did. Instead, they made a commitment to give $250 per month to support the five major goals of Thrive! They have been giving $250 every month since the Campaign launched in January of 2020. Every month for three years — even through the COVID pandemic! $9,000 as of December 2022. Why?

 

“Being generous is at the core of what we are to do as Christians, isn’t it?” replied Pastor Sara Wadley, when asked why they have been donating.

 

Indeed, generosity is at the core of the Thrive! Campaign. It is the generosity of many congregations — countless individuals — that has enabled our synod to offer new programs and much needed support to congregations and their leaders. And more is coming!

 

We offer our deepest gratitude to the people of St. Paul, Columbus, for showing us what it means to have generous hearts. We, in fact, give thanks for every congregation and individual that has contributed to Thrive! as we work together — stronger and better — joining with Jesus to restore the world.
