First Call Theological Education (FCTE) is a program of theological education that provides opportunities for learning and support for newly called leaders – Word & Service and Word & Sacrament – during their first three years under call.

One of the most dramatic transitions in the life of a newly rostered person is the transition from seminary or non-rostered status to the first call to public ministry. FCTE is designed to provide support that will assist in the growth and development of these servants of the gospel so that their careers may be long and fruitful.
