George A. Hartman, 92, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2024.
He was born on September 27, 1931 to George and Lillian E. Hartman. He graduated from Carey High School in 1949, and then went on to Capital University where he graduated in 1953. George then went on to get his Masters at Trinity Seminary in 1957, and worked with five parish churches in Ohio. On August 17, 1958 he married the love of his life Mary (Guinther) Hartman, and they have cherished their commitment for 65 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents George A. Hartman, Sr. and Lillian E. Hartman; and sister Elaine Hartman. George is survived by loving wife of 65 years, Mary Hartman; children Philip (Jean) Hartman, Christine (Christopher) Thomas, and Mark and Julie Hartman; grandchildren Joshua Thomas, Seth Thomas, and Sarah Hartman; sister Marilyn (Aris) Jende; brother Gary Hartman; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
His family will have a immediate family memorial service at Messiah Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory to Messiah Lutheran Church, Attention: Endowment Fund, 1200 South Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
