What’s a Synod Day?
During the triennial ELCA Youth Gathering we get to host an event called “Synod Day,” a chance for our Synod to all be in the same room for a few hours to experience the ELCA Youth Gathering together. At the Synod Day during the 2018 ELCA Youth Gathering, our Synod had 800 adults and youth in attendance!

With the 2021/2022 ELCA Youth Gathering canceled, we held our own Southern Ohio Synod Youth Day. On July 26th, 90 adults &young people came together for a day of learning, activities, worship, and service. That afternoon over 10,000 meals were packaged and are on their way to Haiti. In addition, another 70+ of our teens and adults held their own Synod Day while on a mission trip.

It was a great day….to God be the Glory!
