Stewardship for All Seasons
We are getting ready for our fourth SAS cohort. If you would like to learn more about this valuable opportunity to grow congregational giving and develop leaders, join us on Zoom on February 23 at 7 PM. Mike Ward, Partner with GSB and our SAS lead, will present an overview of the program and answer your questions. The next cohort begins in May and the Thrive campaign will continue to subsidize the cost for Southern Ohio congregations.
During the pandemic, St. Paul in Reading participated in Stewardship for all Seasons (SAS). Based on their congregation’s commitments, they project that this year’s revenue for ministry will increase by more than their goal of $499 per week!
A recent Gallup poll shared what we as church leaders have already been seeing—volunteerism is down. That’s why 78 people attended the first of a five- month additional intensive series on volunteers recently added to the SAS program this year (other intensives are offered in special appeals, council leadership, strategic planning, storytelling, and planned giving).
“SAS helped us create clear and concise communication about where we felt God was calling us to grow our mission. Then they helped us step-by-step in creating attractive and engaging brochures that told the story of that growing mission.”
-Pastor Heidi John’s, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Cincinnati
