Telling your congregation’s story effectively has many positive effects for your annual fund development, volunteer recruitment, and evangelism. That is why Thrive! is sponsoring “CAGA,” a series of three online storytelling training cohorts for pastors, stewardship teams, council chairs, communications people, or other leaders of any Southern Ohio Synod congregation.

CAGA training will be led by Deacon Mitzie Schaefer of GSB Fundraising. Mitzie will teach and inspire you to change your church by changing the culture of how you tell your church’s story. She will also help you build up a strong story bank to get you started.

Training dates are:
Wednesday, April 27th, 11am-1pm
Wednesday, May 25th, 11am-1pm
Monday June 6th or Wednesday, June 8th.
(Congregations schedule their own one-on-one meetings with Mitzie.)

Cost: The training costs $900… but wait! The Thrive! Campaign will pay an initial $600 per congregation. Congregations are asked to pay $300 toward the total fee but that $300 will be fully refunded after successful completion of the Cohort! Result? Your training is free!

Space is Limited!: Cohorts are limited to 6 congregations each so Mitzie can spend dedicated time with each congregation. We will start with one Cohort. If enough congregations register, a second cohort may be opened on the same dates but at different times, with the first to register having choice of times.
