Welcome
The Southern Ohio Synod's 203 congregations represent nearly 70,000 baptized members of the ELCA. The Southern Ohio Synod equips congregations to be and make disciples of Jesus Christ by providing ecumenical resources, support services and programs that build and sustain healthy congregations.
"Synod" is a Greek word, which means to travel a common road; to walk together. This is the role of the Southern Ohio Synod. . . to assist our congregations and leaders to continue their walk together in service of Jesus Christ.

The search results will help guide you to the webpage containing the information you are seeking.
We send a weekly e-bulletin to those who wish to receive news from the synod more than once a month and who wish to conserve paper and postage costs associated with a hard copy mailing.
